MEET THE CAMPUS PASTOR

Michael Escamilla

My wife, Lynnelle, and I have three amazing adult children—Abbi, Malachi, and Lilli. Abbi and her husband, Cody, serve on staff at New Covenant Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, and Malachi serves on staff at Calvary Church in Naperville, Illinois. Lilli works as a preschool teacher in Edmond. We love seeing each of them use their gifts to care for and serve others.

I met Lynnelle almost 30 years ago in a youth “Sunday school” class at her home church in Oklahoma. Our life together has been filled with love, grace, growth, and faithfully following God’s calling. We’ve been blessed to serve in full-time ministry for over 23 years, and in June 2024, we were excited to join The Creek. It already feels like home. We love living in Azle and are honored to serve as the campus pastors here.

Our passion is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We are committed to making disciples who make disciples—developing leaders, empowering others, and helping people live out their faith with the joy and freedom found in Jesus.

We like Mexican food (maybe a little too much!) and enjoy sharing meals with both old and new friends. When I’m not working, I’m at the gym, listening to podcasts, or reading books. I enjoy learning, growing, and being intentional about self-development. I also love taking Lynnelle on dates, enjoying great food, and spending quality time together.
