Sunday is Coming

As we walk through this week leading up to Easter, there’s a quiet invitation given in these sacred days leading up to the celebration of Jesus' defeat of the grave. Remember, reflect, and rejoice. Easter isn’t just a tradition focused on eggs, baskets, and dressing up in fancy outfits—it’s a story that changed everything.

From the triumphant entry on Palm Sunday, to the silence of Saturday, to the hope on Easter morning, this week is filled with contrasts. Joy, sorrow, waiting...maybe you’ve felt all those things in your own life lately.

If you're tired, take heart. Jesus was too. He knelt in a garden with sweat like drops of blood (Luke 22:44). He felt the weight of anxiety and sorrow. He felt (quite literally) the weight of the world on His shoulders (Matthew 26:3). You're not alone in your struggles. He has walked this path of humanity, and modeled for us everything.

If you feel unseen, remember—God sees you. The cross wasn’t the end. It was the beginning of redemption, and the beginning of the gift of salvation. Jesus chose the cross because He saw you. He loves you. You are worth dying for. That’s not just theology. That’s personal. "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"Who for the JOY that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

If you're in a season of waiting, don’t lose hope. Saturday. The day between the cross and the resurrection was silent. God seemed absent. But He was working a miracle behind the scenes. If you're in a “Saturday” season, trust that resurrection is coming. "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" Psalm 27:14

So this week, slow down. Let the story sink in. Whether you're full of faith or feeling hopeless, Easter is for you. Let His love steady your steps, renew your spirit, and fill you with peace.

Keep going. Sunday is coming.
