CreeKid's Week 2022!

Last week was one of the most EXCITING weeks of the year here at The Creek, CreeKid’s Week 2022! It’s full of crazy powerful worship, intentional times in small groups, games and activities, and most importantly, the gospel is preached every night.
This year was powerful. Each night our CreeKid’s were Set in Relationship through pouring their heart out to Jesus in worship, Set in Family during small group time, establishing life-long friendships with other christ-followers, Set Free through Mrs. Whitney and Mrs. Tami’s teachings about who we’re designed to be in Christ, and Set in Motion by participating in a fundraiser for Far Corners, a ministry we support in India. We saw a huge number of kiddos take the first step in their relationship with the Lord by accepting Him into their heart, and it was the most beautiful thing to witness! But don’t just take my word for it. Here are some first-hand testimonies from people who were there.
Mrs. Whitney (Associate Children’s Pastor), says:
“It’s hard to sum up in a few words how amazing CreeKid’s Week was! There are countless stories that convey the beauty of the Holy Spirit moving in not just the kids but in all of us. However, if I had to sum up what I got to experience during CreeKid’s Week 2022, it would be that I got to see kids understand Christ and how perfectly He created, designed and empowered them. I got the privilege of watching them begin to understand that someone loved them enough to create them uniquely and design them with gifts and talents! Watching them learn this you could see how it changed how they viewed God! It was a beautiful thing to witness!”
Mrs. Tami (Children’s Pastor), says:
“CreeKid’s Week is an amazing collaboration of many leaders to bring the gospel to life for our CreeKids. The excitement, the activity, the amazing noise level, the incredible worship, the partnerships and the fun we have learning about how much God loves us and that He made us perfect for his purpose is absolutely incredible to experience. It’s just amazing to watch the connections being made, not just with the kids but with our student and adult leaders as well. I am so incredibly proud of our leadership team and the incredible volunteers who worked so hard to make this week SPARKTACULAR!!”
Mrs. Melanie (CreeKids Volunteer EXTRAORDINAIRE), says:
“CreeKid’s Week is probably my favorite week of the year. I love that it starts as just an idea; then, collaborating and planning with exceptional people throughout the year, we get to bring that idea to life. It's incredible to see the gifts and talents of so many people working together to share the gospel message of Jesus with hundreds of kids. This year, about 110 kids and 62 volunteers participated in CreeKid’s Week; it was SPARKTACULAR!
Each night from check-in to worship, skits to Bible teaching, small group time, SPARK fun, Spark Imagination, to alter call, and DANCE PARTY, was so special to be a part of. I witnessed CreeKids making new friendships, volunteers connecting with new church members, youth students stepping out of their comfort zone and truly shining, and best of all, praying with children who decided to give their life to Christ.
I received great feedback from the three kids (my niece, nephew, and grandson) staying with me last week on ideas for next year, and I loved hearing their excitement for wanting to learn more about Jesus. I am so grateful for the hearts and talents of everyone who made CreeKid's Week possible."
And Lauren Page (NextGen Worship Coordinator) says,
“CreeKid’s week is my favorite thing to be a part of every year because I get to see the next generation of worshippers fall in love with Jesus more and more every day. This year I got to witness several CreeKids give their life to Jesus for the first time, make a friend when maybe they had none, and learn how special they are to not only our CreeKids leaders, but to Jesus. Our volunteers gave up so much of their time because they too see the beauty and importance in raising up the next generation to be set on fire for the Lord, living out the life that God so carefully designed for each and every one of them. Plus, there is no sweeter sound than a room full of children singing out to the Lord with all of their hearts.”
To every parent who trusted us with their kids last week and to every volunteer who poured in hours of time, THANK YOU!!!!! If you’re bummed that you missed out on the most exciting week of the year, don’t fret, there is always CreeKid’s week 2023!
