Celebrating Azle Serve Weekend!

Last weekend, our Azle family got to do one of the things we love most: get out into the community and serve those around them! The idea of being Set in Motion is a BIG deal to us, so when we get the opportunity for Serve Weekend twice a year, our church family really steps up!
Instead of meeting on campus at Hollow Hill last weekend, our Azle Campus got out, got their hands dirty, and make a huge impact in their community. We want to share some wins from this last weekend!
1: With almost 50% of the Azle Campus serving last weekend at two different projects, they were able to get a lot done! One of our projects, the Servolution house, needed a good amount of work and lawn care. Our Azle family got in there and helped in a massive way! Thank you to everyone who served at the house!
2: Shady Grove park, one of the major parks in Azle, got a makeover for fall when our Azle team cleaned up trash! We even got the kindest shoutout on social media from "Azle Special Events!" Check it out:
"Hey Creek Church Azle...THANK YOU for taking care of Shady Grove Park! This one and Central Park are the most used parks we have, and it’s an ongoing struggle to keep them looking their best. Azle Parks Dept certainly appreciates the help!!"
We are SO incredibly grateful that we have a church family who is so willing to step out of their normal routine, and instead head out and serve the community. These acts that may seem small, go such a long way in showing the City of Azle that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and that we take that call SERIOUSLY!
