Celebrating Easter at The Creek!

Last weekend we celebrated Easter as the church, and it was truly incredible to see the life change God was doing in our local body and the global body of believers. It was an exciting time for The Creek, as the first Easter weekend in TWO locations! While our Azle Campus isn’t officially launched, they gathered to celebrate Easter (and the first weekend with equipment!), and it was incredibly impactful!

God promises us that when we lift His name up, He draws people in, and boy was He faithful to do just that.
We heard countless stories of people coming to church broken, hurting, and lost, to leave the building a new creation in Christ. People invited family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to experience Jesus for the first time. Kids from one year and up learned about the truth of the Gospel and resurrection of Jesus, and celebrated the fact that He is alive!

Over two thousand people over two campuses worshiped a Risen King, and over twenty people made the best decision they’ll ever make.

While we celebrate the wins that God allowed us to be a part of this weekend, this is also the time to remember that the devil is very real, and he hates this.

Easter may be over, but Kingdom work never stops.

It is so easy to invite people to church and celebrate Jesus at Easter time, but the challenge for us as Christ followers comes in the weeks after. Are we still inviting our friends and neighbors to come join us for worship? Are we still keeping the death and resurrection of Christ in front of us every day?

I want to encourage you with this today: don’t let the enemy destroy the excitement of Easter. The holiday comes once a year, but the power of the Gospel of Jesus is true every second of every day, and people need to experience it as much now as they did on Easter Sunday.

So let’s keep inviting our friends and family to church with the same excitement. Let’s keep the death and ultimate victory of our savior in front of us every single day. Let’s worship with the same passion as we did last weekend.
Let’s keep the message of Easter with us all year round.
