Serve Weekend Recap!

The first Serve Weekend of 2024 is officially in the books, and it was a GREAT one! Serve Weekend is one of our favorite weekends of the year, because we get to put action to what we teach. Rather than gathering on campus for worship and teaching, hundreds of Creek-ers head to 20 projects across North Texas to serve the community, love on people, and be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us. It's a time for us to show people what the love of Jesus looks, and to be intentional with our community. We are SO thankful to each person who came out to all of these different projects and served, it was a beautiful time! We'd like to take a few minutes and share some wins with you:

"Ropes of Hope" is one of our newer projects, but has quickly become a favorite! Families gathered to make jump ropes out of recycled t-shirts for our missions teams to take to Africa and India. These jump ropes are well-loved by each kiddo that receives them, and they are made with so much love!

On campus, we had 5 projects throughout the weekend! Our Carter Blood Drives were amazing as always, and you guys showed up in such a huge way! Your generosity in donating blood means over 100 people's lives could be saved. We also had Ropes, Rock Art, blessing books, and Broadway Baptist on campus this weekend. The energy in the building was INCREDIBLE!

Seeing families serve together is one of our favorite things. Instilling the value of serving others is a priceless thing, and it always warms our heart to see it! It was so special seeing so many families pick projects they could all enjoy together!

Last, one of the coolest parts of this Serve Weekend was seeing our NextGen kids and students step up and serve with all their hearts! At almost every project we had this weekend, our NextGen Ministry was working SO hard. What an amazing example! You're truly never too young to be Set in Motion.
Thank you, Creek family, for another AMAZING Serve Weekend! We're officially counting down the days until October!
